Welcome

Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim

Assalamu Alaikum,

Inshallah every month I write 2 newsletters for my brothers and sisters of Islam. They are just simple reminders to myself as well as everyone else, I am no perfect person, I make mistakes too, so we should remind ourselves about what is right and what is wrong.

What I have written here are all from past newsletters that I have created since February 2007.

This information blog is only used for learning purposes,
You can share with whom you like, that way it can get across
to many inshallah, All praises is due to Allah for giving me this opportunity to write to my fellow brothers and sisters of
Islam, and trying to point out things that we may of forgotten about.

Your Brother In Islam

Islamic Information Blog Issue 3

Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim

April 2007/Rabi-ul-Awwal 1428

Assalamu Alaikum brothers and sisters of Islam.

Has today is another month I decided to do another newsletter, or information email. Many of you are new to this and might wonder what is this email about, well I wanted to email my brothers and sisters that I knew or that had passed their email address to me to read what I had to talk about, this is my 3rd email and inshallah I hope to do more. I do theses emails to help myself as well as help others remember things about Islam. We can all call ourselves Muslims by name, but calling ourselves Muslims and practicing from the Quran and the teachings of the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) makes you a Muslim.

A few days ago I saw an old friend from school, I was wearing my thobe at the time and the look on this persons face was upsetting let alone the words that was used, they said are you a Muslim? I said yes, then they said things that really made me think is this what the non-Muslims think nowadays?

The questions were what have they done to you?
Did they force you to be a Muslim?
Why are you wear that?

Its upsetting that the friend didnt want to talk to me anymore afterwards, not that it bothered me because I hadnt talked to this person in a long time, but it was the questions they came out with which upset me. But I stood strong like a Muslim should and explained to them that Islam isnt just a religion, its a way of life. No one forced me to become a Muslim, or even forced me to learn about Islam. (May Allah be pleased with the brothers and sisters that took the time to help me learn Islam more ameen) I feel more confident now then I did before, I feel more happier that I found the truth about life and Im seeing the truth about how the world is changing, how violent behavior, pain etc is becoming a normal way of life for the non-Muslim, and its true, look around the world, read the news, what do we read nowadays? Teenagers killing people for no reason, maybe money etc, using knifes, guns etc for what reason? What does this gain for them? Life isnt about who is better then the other, who as the biggest repetition etc, thats not that life is about.

At that time they said they had to go, so I stopped, I hope that person will look at what I said more, because it is a sign of Day of Judgement. (Bloodshed will increase) There are more signs of Judgement here before our eyes like
(Earthquakes will increase)
(Wine (intoxicants, alcohol) will be drunk in great quantities)
(Time will pass more quickly)

as well as another is increasing nowadays
(The slave-woman will give birth to her master or mistress) when I say about the slave will give birth to the master, look at it this way, The way many teenagers are treating their mothers with disrespect, making them do things and the mother saying sorry to them! Now I dunno about you, but that looks like a sign but of course Allah knows best. But for us, we need to increase our Iman, because theses signs are coming quicker, Look to Allah more because our days could come soon.

As we were on the subject of how people are treating their mothers with disrespect, there is a video on how we should all love and respect our mothers, the ways that how they have brought us up in this world and always done what they could to make sure you were safe, happy etc, A sister made this video and Mashallah its a beautiful video, and a wonderful meaningful

There is another video I would like to share by Ahmed Bukhatir, the song is called Forgive Me this video makes us think how grateful we should be, that many of us have two eyes where others maybe blind, we should be more grateful to Allah, but if you think about it, many of those who have two eyes moan more then those who are blind!

I would like to share with you something that when I read I found very beautiful and very true.
Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said:
If you want Allah to love you, be afraid of Him and guard yourself again sin.
If you want people to love you, be benevolent to them,
If you want Allah to increase your wealth, then give alms tax.
If you want Allah to make your body healthy, pay charity more frequently.
If you want Allah to prolong your life, then have regard for your kinship.

And if you want Allah to raise you with me, then do prolong your prostration before Allah, the One, the Dominator

I know this isnt organized, but if you know me, I like to say as much as I can, inshallah I will learn to organize this for the next time I write which will be the new Islamic month

There is a site called Hidayah Online, for those who love to listen to Quran recitations

http://hidayahonline.org/?page=audio

At the moment there are about 16 or 17 people to choose from, do have a listen to them all, and you can download them as well to mp3 format and save onto your computer to listen again and again or even add to your mp3/ipod etc and listen to them when you are out inshallah.

May we look to Allah and seek help and protection when we are need of help, May Allah strength our hearts and bring us closer to him, May Allah keep us, our families and the Muslim brothers and sisters on the straight path, May Allah show light to the families of the reverts and that they can become Muslims as well. May Allah guide us on the true Islam and not culture, May Allah give us strength to overcome anything and everything in this life, May Allah increase our faith. Ameen.

Wa Alaikum Assalam.

A small Du'a can make a big difference

Make Dua for your brothers and sisters, wouldn't you want good things to happen to them as much as good things happening to you?
