Welcome

Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim

Assalamu Alaikum,

Inshallah every month I write 2 newsletters for my brothers and sisters of Islam. They are just simple reminders to myself as well as everyone else, I am no perfect person, I make mistakes too, so we should remind ourselves about what is right and what is wrong.

What I have written here are all from past newsletters that I have created since February 2007.

This information blog is only used for learning purposes,
You can share with whom you like, that way it can get across
to many inshallah, All praises is due to Allah for giving me this opportunity to write to my fellow brothers and sisters of
Islam, and trying to point out things that we may of forgotten about.

Your Brother In Islam

Islamic Information Blog Issue 2

Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim
March 2007/Safar 1428

Assalamu Alaikum brothers and sisters of Islam.
I hope you and your families are well, I would like to make this issue about Islam.

What is Islam?
Islam is the religion, and Muslims are the ones who follow their religion, we have a separate name to the religion because Allah is One, which means Islam is for Him only, we are not Islam(ity) or anything else that could follow that word, it is only for the Lord of Mankind, Allah.

Allah is our Lord, Lord of Mankind, Lord of the universe, there is no one like him nor does He have any partners of family. Muslims don't believe that Jesus (pbuh) was his Son, but we do believe that Mary gave birth to Jesus without a father.

Allah sent down many Prophets and Messengers to help mankind see the true meaning of life powers, they lived the by the same rules as we do today, the first Prophet was Adam (pbuh) and the last one was Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who was the last and final Prophet and Messenger, there will be no other new Prophets after Muhammad (pbuh).

Muslims follow the
5 pillars of Islam which are:

1.
Shahada - testify that there is no God but Allah, and that Muhammad (pbuh) is the final
Messenger of Allah.
2.
Salah - Muslims must pray 5 times a day
3.
Zakat - Muslims should give 2.5% to charity to the poor
4.
Ramadan - Muslims must fast in the month of Ramadan for 29/30 days (depending on the sighting of the moon)
5.
Hajj - Every Muslim once in their life must go to Hajj

Muslims also believe in the
6 pillars of Iman

1.
Allah - The One true God
2.
Angels - Servants of Allah to worship and do what Allah asks them to do, Angels do not sin.
3.
Prophets of Allah - Sent to all nations to teach them the true meaning of Islam
4.
Books of Allah - Sent to the Prophets to help them teach this message
5.
Day of Judgement - This will be the time when every living will meet Allah and will be judged for what they have done during this life time.
6.
Destiny - Allah knows everything way before we experience it, from the time you are in your mother's womb, Allah has already created your life story.

Books of Allah

Every Muslim believe in all the books of Allah, they were sent down by Angels to the prophets to deliver their message but sadly as time as passed the original books have either been lost or rewritten by man. The Books are as followed:

Prophet Ibrahim - Sahifah (Scrolls)
Prophet Musa - Tawrat (Torah)
Prophet Dawud - Zaubar (Psalms)
Prophet Isa - Injil (Gospel)
Prophet Muhammad - Quran
(peace be upon them all)

The Message as been there since Prophet Adam (pbuh) and as been the same message through all Prophets (peace be upon them all) and will stay the same for the past, the present and the future. All humans should do what is Halal and forbid what is Haram.

All humans have been given their own brains, thoughts etc to do what they feel is right whether they follow good or bad, at the end of the day YOU will be judged for your actions, as you must remember don't ever think that Allah has not seen what you have been doing or have done, Allah sees all. Also remember the two angels that right everything you say and do, on your right side is the Angel that rights your good deeds, and on the left is the Angel that writes your bad deeds.

Every human will make mistakes, that's why we should repend to Allah and ask him for forgiveness. If Allah wills He will forgive you.

It says in the Quran (2:284):
To Allah belongs everything in the heavens and the earth. Whether you declare your innermost thoughts, or keep them hidden, Allah holds you responsible for them. He forgives whomever He wills, and punishes whomever He wills. Allah is Omnipotent.

Remember the only way you can be a Muslim is to follow the Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) you can not choose to believe in Allah but not pray to Allah, Islam is a way of life not just a religion, it is time to take this life seriously because again I will say when you die you will be judged for what you have done here, and the good deeds and bad deeds will be the deeds to either send you to Paradise or to the Hell-Fire.

I leave you with that, and inshallah I will write my next issue soon, JazakAllah Khair for reading
and Wa Salaam

A small Du'a can make a big difference

Make Dua for your brothers and sisters, wouldn't you want good things to happen to them as much as good things happening to you?
